Greg Oden joined the Portland Trailblazers in 2007 and was the first overall draft pick. He was selected by the Portland Trailblazers because they hoped that he would be the face of the franchise. His career was injury-laden and had him playing a total of 23 games in the NBA. His retirement was due to some chronic foot problems. After his NBA stint, he went back to the academic world and worked as the student manager at Ohio State’s men’s basketball.
