Richard III

King Richard III had a reign that lasted from 1483 until 1485. The English king does not have the best reputation out there. In fact, Shakespeare even depicted this ruler as a tyrant who was eventually replaced by the Tudors. In 1485, Richard III led a charge against Henry Tudor and his army during the Battle of Bosworth. The demise of his clan came soon after this.

What Richard III Really Looked Like

In 2012, it finally became possible to recreate his image. This was not a possibility for a long time because they lost his body after his death. A team of researchers investigated the matter and found his body below a parking lot. They exhumed the remains, which Dundee University researchers used to see what he looked like in the past. They used historical records since there are no realistic paintings of him.
