Meritamun
Meritamun means “beloved of the god Amun”. University of Melbourne researchers introduced her after going through the archives and finding her skull. The ancient Egypt queen somehow made it to another continent altogether! She was a Great Royal Wife of Pharaoh Ramesses the Great and buried in the Valley of the Queens.
What Meritamun Really Looked Like
There was not much they learned about Meritamun since the skull was the only thing they had. It was important to get some information on her such as her age when she died. They believe she was 18 to 25 years old, but no one knew the cause of death. They learned that she liked sweets thanks to her tooth decay. This was right on the mark since Alexander the Great brought sugar to Egypt around that time.
