Huarmey Queen
The Huarmey Queen was an important figure in the Wari (Huari) culture of Peru. These people lived in the coastal areas of the Andes Mountains and the south-central Andes. She is, essentially, the same age as the Great Pyramid of Giza. Archaeologists unearthed her in the Ancash region, north of Lima. They placed her remains in El Castillo de Huarmey together with 57 noblewomen.
What The Huarmey Queen Really Looked Like
Unlike the other reconstructions you will see here, the scientists gave her a physical form to make her look even more realistic. The mummies of the Huarmey Queen and the other noblewomen were found in a specific seated position in five-people rows. Like others here, the women got buried with cool artifacts!
