Owain Glyndwr
Welsh rebel Owain Glyndwr had the goal of ending English rule in Wales back in the late Middle Ages. Born in 1359, he died in 1415. His rule started from 1404 and ended upon his death. If you have ever read the Shakespeare historical play Henry IV, Part 1, you might remember him as a wild and exotic king.
