Julius Caesar
Julius Caesar was a Roman politician and war general largely credited for the expansion of the Roman Empire. He made it past the Rhine River and the English Channel, ultimately invading Britain. He refused to step down from command, he returned to Roman Italy through Gaul. This led to a civil war. Although there are numerous sculptures of him, this realistic rendering in 2018 was priceless.
What Julius Caesar Really Looked Like
You will find a realistic bust of Julius Caesar at Leiden’s National Museum of Antiquities. The 3D reconstruction also relied on marble portraits of him. After he won the Roman civil war, he took over as a dictator and launched a number of social and political reforms. For one thing, he granted citizenship to those living in the farthest regions of the empire. He was murdered by members of the Senate in 44 B.C.
