Queen Elizabeth I

Queen Elizabeth I was the ruler of England and Ireland from 1558 to 1603. She was the daughter of King Henry VIII and Anne Boleyn. The marriage was annulled upon the death of her mother, so she was an illegitimate child. She was only able to ascend the throne in 1558. There are numerous paintings of her, but a mixed media artist Mat Collishaw wanted to find out the truth in 2018.
